SPX Playbook Trainer — Website Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the SPX Playbook Trainer website and browser game at spxplay.com. It does not apply to the standalone iOS app, which has a separate iOS privacy policy.

1. Local Game Data and Technical Logs

The web game runs in your browser. Your practice stats, session progress, daily puzzle streak, last-opened lesson, and settings are kept in your browser's localStorage on your device. We do not receive your practice or learning activity. You can erase this local data at any time by clearing site data for spxplay.com in your browser.

The server that delivers the game keeps routine technical logs, such as IP address, request time, and the URL requested, for security and operations. We do not use these logs to identify or profile players, and we do not combine them with practice activity.

If you email website support, we receive the email address, message, and any attachments or billing-reference details you choose to provide. We use that information to answer the request, investigate problems, protect the Service, and keep records as reasonably necessary for those purposes and legal obligations. Do not send full card details or your private SPXPlay recovery key.

2. Pro Subscriptions

SPXPlay offers optional Pro subscriptions on spxplay.com:

• Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• What we store: only your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, subscription status, and billing-period end date—enough to determine whether a subscription is active. We do not store your name, address, or card number, and Pro billing never collects your email address (Stripe holds the information you provide at checkout under its own policy). The optional email briefing described in section 3 is the only feature that collects an email address from you.
• Entitlement cookie: a strictly necessary cookie named spx_ent remembers that your browser has an active subscription. It is HttpOnly, expires after about 30 days, contains Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
• Access key: Pro users receive a private recovery key to restore their subscription on another device or browser. It contains Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and must be kept private.

3. Email Briefing (Optional Newsletter)

You can subscribe to a free pre-market email briefing on the Market News and Daily Analysis pages:

• What we collect: the email address you enter, the page you signed up on, and timestamps of signup, confirmation, and unsubscribe—nothing else. Briefing emails contain no open- or click-tracking pixels.
• Double opt-in: we send a single confirmation email, and the briefing goes only to addresses that click the confirmation link. Unconfirmed addresses receive nothing further.
• What it is used for: delivering the briefing (one email per market day) and the related confirmation and unsubscribe messages. We do not use the list for anything else, and we never sell or share it for marketing.
• Delivery provider: emails are sent through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) acting as our service provider. See the AWS Privacy Notice.
• Unsubscribe: every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. Unsubscribed addresses are kept only as a suppression record so we do not email them again; contact us to have an address deleted entirely.

4. Advertising — If Enabled on the Free Tier

If and when ads are enabled, the free tier may show ads served by Google AdSense. In that case:

• Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads, which can include personalized ads depending on your choices and region. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's advertising technology policy.
• Where legally required, visitors will be shown a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform before personalized-advertising cookies are used.
• You can manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.
• Pro subscribers are not shown ads, and the game does not load AdSense for them.

5. How We Share and Retain Data

We do not sell personal data. We disclose information only to service providers needed to host and secure the website, deliver support email, send the optional email briefing through Amazon SES, process subscriptions through Stripe, and serve free-tier ads through Google, plus when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect the Service, our users, or others.

Subscription identifiers and status are retained while needed to provide and restore Pro access, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. Email-briefing addresses are retained while your subscription is active; after you unsubscribe, the address is kept only as a suppression record unless you ask us to delete it entirely. Routine server logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security and operations.

6. Your Choices

• Clear spxplay.com site data in your browser to erase local game data and the website entitlement cookie.
• Use the game's subscription-management link to cancel a Pro subscription through Stripe. Cancellation does not automatically erase records we must retain.
• Use the unsubscribe link in any briefing email to stop the newsletter immediately.
• Use the consent message or Google Ads Settings to manage advertising choices where available.
• Contact us to ask a privacy question or exercise a privacy right that applies in your jurisdiction.

7. Children

The website is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Educational Disclaimer

SPX Playbook Trainer is for education and practice only. It is not a broker, exchange, trading platform, investment adviser, or signal service. It does not place real trades and does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

9. Changes to This Policy

If our website privacy practices change—including when subscriptions or ads go live—this policy will be updated with a new effective date before the change takes effect.
